AOTEK has developed stacks for several industrial buses. From legacy CAN and SERCOS II to the new EtherCAT and SERCOS III buses, master and slave software has been implemented in the CNCs, drives and IO boards. These buses require a deep knowledge of the real time characteristics of the different operating system used. For instance, AOTEK has successfully integrated the real time SERCOS III bus running at 125 microseconds on Windows.
Regarding machine and plant connectivity, AOTEK has integrated the Industry 4.0 communication standard, OPC-UA, where is actively participating in the definition of the UMATI (Universal Machine Interface) specification, at the edge of developments in this fields.
